Meet Your Officiant: Richard Colonna

Richard Colonna is the heart and soul behind Richard J. Colonna Ministries. Based in Toms River, NJ.  Richard has officiated over 600 weddings, civil unions, baptisms, and baby naming ceremonies. He was ordained through Universal Life Church, based in Modesto, CA in 2011. As an ordained interfaith and Non-Denominational Minister, Richard brings a sense of love and joy to every ceremony.   Richard believes an officiant’s service should be creative, fun, collaborative and flexible, so he ensures every event he officiates, is memorable and enjoyable. He considers it an honor, and a privilege, to help couples take the next step of their journey together.

On a personal level, Richard loves to ski, scuba dive, country dance, garden, do home improvements, hike, travel, perform in community theater, attend Broadway Shows, go boating and wave running on Barnegat Bay, and most of all, build fond memories with good friends and family members. Richard spent the majority of his career in the Technology Industry, and was officiating during this time. Richard is married to his husband Jeff, and together they breathe in every moment of life, look for opportunities to cherish, and consider every day a gift.
